GUIDANCE DEPT.

A TIME-LINE FOR GRADE 11 STUDENTS

Discuss various possibilities for next year with your parents. Mr. Corbett will provide you with a complete list of alternatives on his first visit.

Watch for signs of college and liaison visits. Sign up in Guidance for those which interest you. Don't forget to record these dates in your agenda book.

If you're applying to an American University, you may have to mail off your application before November 1st and speak to Mr. Corbett concerning any forms requiring staff input. Mr. Corbett has an internet hookup that can provide further information on the various U.S. universities.

Consider trying CAREER CRUISING or LIVE CAREER. Mr. Corbett will describe these tests to you in his first visit to your class.

For the top students, there is a very real possibility that you may be able to win a scholarship. Mr. Corbett will provide you with a complete list of scholarships you are eligible for.
Watch for information on CEGEP open houses and liaison visits from colleges and universities. Most of the visits will be scheduled before the end of December. WARNING: SOME OF THE DATES BELOW MAY CHANGE! CHECK THE BULLETIN BOARD OUTSIDE OF MR. CORBETT'S OFFICE REGULARLY.
