The English Quebec CEGEPs offer a wide variety of three year technology programs. The standards to get in are often equivalent to the Pre-University programs, or are, depending on demand, sometimes higher. Although students who complete these programs may, in fact, apply to University (They do receive a CEGEP Diploma, but often are missing a few academic pre-requisite courses), the intent of the Technology programs is to give them the skills to go directly to work upon graduation.
