TO
GRADUATE
FROM HIGH SCHOOL, A GRAD OF JUNE 2009 OR BEFORE REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING.
1. Student must pass Secondary V (grade 11) English.
2. Student must pass Secondary V (grade 11) French.
3. Student must pass Secondary IV Canadian history.
4. Student must pass Secondary IV Science. (Physical Science 416 or 436.)
5. Student must pass Secondary IV Math minimum. (At least Math 416)
6. Student must obtain 54 total credits. (Credit courses are generally taken in grade 10 and 11).
7. At least 20 of these 54 must be Secondary V credits. (N.b. some grade 10 courses may actually give Secondary V credits.)
For example, a student at Lakeside may take a Secondary V option ( 2 or 4 credits) in grade 10.
In grade 11 (Secondary V), most students take at least the following:

| Economics | (4 credits) * |
| Math 574 (514) or Math 536 | (4 or 6 credits) * |
| Physical Education V | (2 credits) * |
| Option 1 (Most offered are Sec. V) | (4 or 8 credits) |
| Option 2 (2 half or one full course) | (4 or 8 credits) |
*. These courses are always worth Secondary V credits.
I.e. Most Lakeside students accumulate over 30 Secondary V credits; far more than the 20 necessary.NOTE: THIS WILL GIVE A STUDENT A HIGH SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE

A STUDENT MUST ALSO PASS THE FOLLOWING TO BE ELIGIBLE TO ATTEND CEGEP in QUEBEC.
1. Must pass one of the following Math
courses:
Math 426. Math 436. Math 514 (574) Math 526 or 536. Math 416 will allow
students to enter certain programs at CEGEP (Social Science, Creative
Arts, Liberal Arts, and some technologies.) In some cases, a student
with Math 416 will have to do a 15 hour non-credit Math course at CEGEP.

TO
GRADUATE

1. Student must pass Secondary V (grade 11) ENGLISH. 6 credits
2. Student must pass Secondary V (grade 11) FRENCH. 4 credits
3. Student must pass Secondary IV HISTORY and CITIZENSHIP. 4 credits
4. Student must pass Secondary IV PHYSICAL SCIENCE or APPLIED PHYSICAL SCIENCE. 4 or 6 credits (4 required)
5. Student must pass at least Secondary IV MATH. 4 credits
6. Student must pass 2 credits in ART EDUCATION. 2 credits
7. Student must pass 2 credits in Secondary V ETHICS AND RELIGIOUS CULTURE
or PHYSICAL EDUCATION. 2 credits
8. Student must obtain 54 total credits. (Credit courses are generally taken in grade 10 and 11).
9. At least 20 of these 54 must be Secondary V credits. (N.b. some grade 10 option courses may actually give Secondary V credits.)
