The Home and School is a group of volunteer parents interested in enriching the Lakeside Academy environment. Meetings are held once a month in the staff lounge.

The Home and School organizes the sale of the school uniform and staffs the uniform room during the year. This service is greatly appreciated by the Lakeside parents and all profits are donated back to Lakeside Academy to purchase much needed equipment for the school.

The volunteers organize and run the Graduation Reception, offer refreshments for Meet the Teacher, Open House and Awards Night as well as host Teacher Appreciation Week.

The Home and School, in conjunction with Lakeside Academy, has a major fundraiser each year.
 

The monies raised by the Home and School are used to enrich education and school life at Lakeside. Its funds have provided the school with digital cameras, security cameras, computers, a scoreboard in the gymnasium, vertical blinds for the science lab, Mapco maps and basketball uniforms as well as sponsoring the grade ten trip to New York City.

The Lakeside Academy Home and School provides parents with an opportunity to be involved in school life and to work with other parents in an informal, cooperative atmosphere. An administrator, a teacher representative and a Governing Board representative attend each meeting and keep parents informed about school activities.
