Senior dance troupe practice for the variety show will be today after school in the dance room on the first floor. Practice is mandatory- it is from 3:30pm-4:30pm. If you can’t make it, please let Ms. Emilie know. Junior dance troupe practice will resume next week after exams. 

Students are welcomed and encouraged to use the library.  The library is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  

 Have you got talent you want to showcase; Are you a dancer? Do you have an interesting skill set? We are still looking for acts!  Auditions will be held at lunch on Tuesday, January 28th. Please see Ms. Brayne in room 202 if you would like to sign up for the auditions.  

The coin challenge is back for year 3. There will be buckets in the second floor lounge. The grade who collects the most coins will win a pizza lunch and bragging rights! Last year the grade 7s won! Let’s see who will win this year!!!

 We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever Junior Dance on February 6th from 7pm to 9pm for all sec 1 and 2 students. Because this is our first dance since Covid we will be offering a special price of $3 if you buy your ticket in advance or $5 at the door. Tickets will be on sale the week of January 27th. Please join our Lakeside Juniors Google Classroom group for more details and to fill out the Google Form with all of your song requests. Hope to see you there!!

The weight room is now open every day during lunch for all grade 9, 10 and 11 students. Gym attire is required.

January 15th Post secondary information assembly in period 2 and January 16th all Cegep application portals will be active.For those of you applying to a program that requires a portfolio, personal statement, audition, or reference letter please verify the requirements and deadlines. All students are expected to wear their uniforms at all times, during classes and in the halls, at recess and lunch. If a student does not have their uniform, they will be sent home, or they can purchase a shirt/sweatshirt from the main office.
