The gym will be closed in the morning on Wednesday and Thursday. Please do not come in early. There are exams both days so the doors will only open at 8:25, please don’t ring the doorbell. 

 There will be a ski trip meeting for all the parents of the students attending the ski trip on Tuesday January 28. There will be 2 sessions, 1 at 4 pm and 1 at 6 pm. See you then.

 Wear your favourite team’s jersey on January 30th to show your school pride! This is a 2$ dress down day!

 Bantam Girls Basketball: The bantam girls fought hard yesterday but lost by 4 points against the 1st place team. They are back in action next Wednesday. 

 Senior dance troupe practice for the variety show will be today after school in the dance room on the first floor. Practice is mandatory- it is from 3:30pm-4:30pm. If you can’t make it, please let Ms. Emilie know. Junior dance troupe practice will resume next week after exams. 

Students are welcomed and encouraged to use the library.  The library is open daily from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  

 Have you got talent you want to showcase; Are you a dancer? Do you have an interesting skill set? We are still looking for acts!  Auditions will be held at lunch on Tuesday, January 28th. Please see Ms. Brayne in room 202 if you would like to sign up for the auditions.  

The coin challenge is back for year 3. There will be buckets in the second floor lounge. The grade who collects the most coins will win a pizza lunch and bragging rights! Last year the grade 7s won! Let’s see who will win this year!!!

 We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever Junior Dance on February 6th from 7pm to 9pm for all sec 1 and 2 students. Because this is our first dance since Covid we will be offering a special price of $3 if you buy your ticket in advance or $5 at the door. Tickets will be on sale the week of January 27th. Please join our Lakeside Juniors Google Classroom group for more details and to fill out the Google Form with all of your song requests. Hope to see you there!!

The weight room is now open every day during lunch for all grade 9, 10 and 11 students. Gym attire is required.
